Expertise in action: \ud83d\ude91 A guest lecture and practical exercises were held in the course “Emergency Medical Procedures in Out-of-Hospital Conditions” \ud83c\udfe5 \nOn Saturday, December 14, 2024, nursing students had the opportunity to learn live from Dario Gazi\u0107, a Master of Nursing with a specialization in out-of-hospital emergency medical care, whose theoretical part he attended at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences. \ud83d\udcda Along with an inspiring lecture covering the challenges and key aspects of fieldwork, practical exercises on basic life support (BLS) were also conducted. \ud83d\udca1<\/p>\n\n

What did we learn? \n\ud83d\udd39 A theoretical insight into decision-making in emergency situations. \n\ud83d\udd39 Practical application of basic life support procedures \u2013 from proper chest compressions to using an automated external defibrillator (AED). \ud83e\ude7a\u26a1<\/p>\n\n

The practical exercises provided students with not only theoretical knowledge but also the opportunity to experience through simulations the responsibility and quick reaction needed in emergency interventions. \u23f1\ufe0f\ud83d\udcaa<\/p>\n\n
