On March 12, 2025 \ud83d\udcc5, at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences \ud83c\udf93, as part of the course *Adult Health Care II* \ud83c\udfe5, guest lecturer and our alumni student Josip Kird\u017eija, **BSc in Nursing** \ud83d\udc68\u200d\u2695\ufe0f, delivered a lecture on the topic *”Laparoscopic Hemicolectomy \u2013 Experiences from Sweden”* \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddea.<\/p>\n\n

Josip introduced students to modern approaches to minimally invasive procedures \ud83d\udd2c in the surgical treatment of colorectal diseases, with a focus on laparoscopic hemicolectomy \ud83c\udfe8. During his presentation, he shared his experiences from a Swedish hospital \ud83c\udfe9 where he is employed, working in the colorectal surgery department \ud83e\ude7a.<\/p>\n\n

The lecture concluded with a discussion \ud83d\udcac, where students asked questions \u2753 about the practical application of Swedish guidelines \ud83d\udcd1 in Croatian healthcare settings, as well as opportunities for further education \ud83c\udf93 and specialization in the field of laparoscopic surgery.<\/p>\n\n
