Competences:  The Professional Programme of Study in Mechatronics trains students for independent work in a variety of professions that require the knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technologies. Having completed this professional programme of study, students will acquire knowledge, skills and competences that will provide them with the possibility to find employment in a broad segment of the labour market.

General learning outcomes:

  • Apply modern techniques, skills, and programming tools for modeling, designing, analyzing, and verifying mechatronic systems.
  • Design mechatronic systems based on the given technical specification, paying attention to the rules of the profession and quality assurance.
  • Select sensors, actuators, computer controllers, machine elements, and other elements for the creation of a mechatronics system.
  • Implement the automation of the production process based on the given technical specifications.
  • Implement appropriate control algorithms in mechatronic systems.
  • Create technical documentation of the mechatronics system and its subsystems.
  • Analyze and interpret data based on conducted tests and experiments with the aim of developing, testing, and maintaining mechatronic systems.
  • Propose innovative solutions in the field of mechatronics by analyzing and evaluating current knowledge, models, and solutions.
  • Apply different strategies for project planning and development.
  • Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems by applying principles from the fields of engineering, technical sciences, and mathematics.
