The B:IT.con 2023 conference has concluded with countless positive comments! The number of registered participants for this year’s conference was 304. We held 8 lectures with the support of the main sponsor, the City of Bjelovar, and 26 sponsors. The organizer of the conference is Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences. The co-organizers of the conference are: the City of Bjelovar, tech43, and the Bjelovar Technology Park.

On Monday, June 19, 2023, Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences, the *Anđelko Visić* General Hospital in Bjelovar, and the Emergency Medicine Institute of Bjelovar-Bilogora County will begin the implementation of specialized training for undergraduate and master’s degree nurses in emergency medicine, a unique project at the national level. 🌟 Participants will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills specific to emergency medicine, and they will receive comprehensive education in line with the latest guidelines, protocols, and best practices in the field of emergency care. 📚💪 We wish all participants and lecturers a successful start to the specialized training! 🎉 The University has once again demonstrated its ability to respond quickly to the labor market’s needs! 👏👩⚕️

Our Vice-Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs, Zoran Vrhovski, and the lecturer from the Department of Computing, Krunoslav Husak 😄👨🏫, today held lectures titled *”Challenges of the Future”* 🌟🚀 and *”Internet of Things”* 🌐🤖 as part of the *”Bjelovar Robotics Center”* project. The project beneficiary is the Association of Computer Scientists of Bjelovar-Bilogora County 🤝🖥️, and the project partners are the IV. Elementary School Bjelovar 🏫👧👦 and Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences 🎓. The lectures were held at the premises of Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences 🏢📚.

Today, as part of the *”Bjelovar Robotics Center”* project 🤖🏢, two lectures were held at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences. The first lecture, *”Humanoid Robots”* 🤖, was presented by Kristina Novoselec and our computing student, Danijela Erceg. Participants had the opportunity to interact with the Nao and Alpha Mini robots during this session. The second lecture, *”ChatGPT in Education”* 🏢🏫👧👦, was delivered by our Computing Department lecturer, Krunoslav Husak. With these lectures, Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences, as a partner, has completed all activities within the *”Bjelovar Robotics Center”* project. Thank you for your trust, and we look forward to continued collaboration.
On May 3, 2023, a lecture was held at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences as part of the permanent professional development for nurses and technicians, titled *”The Process of Healthcare for Patients with Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy”*. The lecture was presented by our alumni, Matea Antolić, Bacc. Med. Techn., who is employed at KBC Rebro. Today, there was a lot of activity at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences. At the same time, we conducted two nursing courses. In addition to the previously mentioned Category I course, Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences was also the organizer and host of the Category III course titled *”Application of Subcutaneous Infusion”*. A series of interesting lectures were delivered by Andrej Petranović, MD, Dr. Sc. Zvjezdana Gvozdanović, BSc. Med. Techn., Lidija Knapić, BSc. Med. Techn., Sandra Kučko, BSc. Biotech Eng., Đurđica Grabovac, MSc. Med. Techn., and Goranka Rafaj, MSc. Med. Techn. The course attracted 56 participants. It was accredited by the Croatian Chamber of Nurses.

On the second day of the Category 1 course *”Contemporary Insights on Breastfeeding for the ‘Baby-Friendly Maternity Hospital”*, we began with lectures by international speakers Andreja Tekauc Golob, MD (IBCLC, University Medical Centre Maribor, Slovenia) and Doc. Dr. Sc. Irmeline Karić, MD (CEPS – Center for Business Studies, Kiseljak, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Following that, lectures and workshops were held by Laura Gazdić, BSc. Med. Techn. (alumni of VUB), Biljana Zrinski, BSc. Obs., Željka Ostović, MSc. Med. Techn. (alumni of VUB), and Ina Valpotić, MD. The program was moderated by Prim. Mr. Sc. Marija Čatipović.
On the third and final day of the Category 1 course *”Contemporary Insights on Breastfeeding for the ‘Baby-Friendly Maternity Hospital”*, we started with lectures by two international speakers. The first lecture was given by Asija Delalic (University College London Hospitals), and the second lecture was delivered by our alumni nursing student Josip Kiridžija, BSc. Med. Techn. (Vrinnevi Hospital, Sweden). Following this, lectures and workshops were conducted by Prim. Mr. Sc. Marija Čatipović, Sanja Slavica, BSc. Med. Techn., Ksenija Eljuga, MSc. Med. Techn., and Renata Hunjadi-Brzović, Prof. The program was moderated by Ksenija Eljuga, MSc. Med. Techn. At the end of the program, the knowledge evaluation of the course participants was conducted, and certificates were distributed.
The course was accredited by the Croatian Chamber of Nurses, the Croatian Medical Chamber, the Croatian Chamber of Midwives, and the Croatian Psychological Chamber.
