Meetup lecture held in March.

Yesterday, we held a meetup lecture on the topic “Agile is Dead?”. The lecture was delivered by Marijan Trnski, Scrum Master/Trainer @ Adcubum. 💻🔧 During the session, we discussed one of the most provocative topics in the world of software development – is Agile truly dead, or are we just forcing it into places where it doesn’t belong? 🚀⚙️ In an engaging atmosphere with an interactive discussion, we explored why Agile causes frustration in some teams 🤯, where it is misapplied 🔄, and why, despite criticism, it can still be a valuable tool – perhaps in a different form. 🛠️🔄 A big thank you to everyone who participated and shared their experiences! 🙌 👥 Organizer: Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences 🤝 Co-organizer: Bjelovar Technology Park 🎉 After-party at OKA Bar enabled by: Enseso

IMPLEMENTED MICROQUALIFICATION PLC PROGRAMMING THROUGH VOUCHERS

A total of seven participants are attending the microqualification in PLC programming. The participants are trained for:

🔹 Selecting the appropriate PLC for specific requirements, configuring, and connecting the PLC with devices for process automation

🔹 Programming PLCs in multiple programming languages according to the IEC 61131-3 standard

🔹 Developing control programs for simple automation processes

🔹 Testing and commissioning the PLC control program.

Guest Lecture by a Career Advisor from CISOK Bjelovar

As part of the *Technical English 4* course 📖, a guest lecture 👩‍🏫 was held by Ms. Lucija Večerić, a career advisor from CISOK Bjelovar, covering the topics *”Europass CV and Job Application in English”* 📝 and *”How to Prepare Well for a Job Interview in English”* 🎤.

During the lecture, students 🎓 had the opportunity to learn through practical examples how to create a good CV 📄 and job application ✍️ in English, as well as how to prepare for a job interview 💼 in English.

Guest lecture by nursing alumni student Josip Kirdžija

On March 12, 2025 📅, at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences 🎓, as part of the course *Adult Health Care II* 🏥, guest lecturer and our alumni student Josip Kirdžija, **BSc in Nursing** 👨‍⚕️, delivered a lecture on the topic *”Laparoscopic Hemicolectomy – Experiences from Sweden”* 🇸🇪.

Josip introduced students to modern approaches to minimally invasive procedures 🔬 in the surgical treatment of colorectal diseases, with a focus on laparoscopic hemicolectomy 🏨. During his presentation, he shared his experiences from a Swedish hospital 🏩 where he is employed, working in the colorectal surgery department 🩺.

The lecture concluded with a discussion 💬, where students asked questions ❓ about the practical application of Swedish guidelines 📑 in Croatian healthcare settings, as well as opportunities for further education 🎓 and specialization in the field of laparoscopic surgery.

Today, the University 🎓 hosted a Zoom meeting 💻 of the project implementation team for “Independent Learning Strategies in a Digital Environment.” In the third year of project implementation, Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences is the coordinator 🔄 of activities, with partners 📍 Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski from Bulgaria and Instituto Superior de Administração e Línguas (ISAL) from Madeira, Portugal. Moderator 🎤 Marina Marković opened the meeting and invited Reneta Bojankova, Vice-Rector of Sofia University, Sancha de Campanella, Deputy Director of ISAL, and our Dean, Tatjana Badrov, to greet the project participants 👋.
