On April 4, 2025, a guest lecture titled “Specifics of the Work of a Scrub Nurse in an Orthopedic Operating Room”🦴👩⚕️ was held at the Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences 🏫. The lecture was part of the elective course Fundamentals of Surgical Instrumentation 🛠️🔍 and was delivered by our alumna Lea Marčeta, bacc. med. techn. 👩🎓 During the lecture, Lea introduced students to the specific demands and challenges of working in an orthopedic operating room 🏥. She emphasized the importance of teamwork 🤝, communication 🗣️, and organization 📋, while also sharing concrete experiences from clinical practice 📝. The lecture was extremely valuable and motivating for the students 💡🙌, and the constructive discussion 💬 further enriched the course content 📚.
