The first meetup lecture in 2025, titled “PLC – Application and Programming in CODESYS,” will be delivered by Zoran Vrhovski, Vice Dean for Teaching and Students at the  Bjelovar University of Applied Science. 💻🔧 The lecture will provide an overview of PLC applications in industrial automation. 🤖🏭 Insights into the basic principles and software tools needed for developing programming solutions in industrial automation will be demonstrated through programming in the CODESYS environment and a presentation of a DEMO case featuring three Schneider Electric PLC devices: M221, M241, and M251. 🛠️📦 In addition to PLC programming, there will be a brief explanation of how PLC devices “communicate” in an industrial environment. 🌐⚙️ 📅 Date: January 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM 📍 Location: Hall 4, A. On January 15, 2025, the Polytechnic in Bjelovar hosted the first lecture as part of the continuous education program for nurses, titled “Nursing Interventions in the Management of Polytraumatized Patients” 🩺. The lecture was delivered by Silvija Ćenan, mag.med.techn., from the University Hospital Dubrava, and our alumna, Marija Keser, bacc.med.techn., from the University Hospital Centre Rebro.

The goal of the lecture was to provide insight into modern procedures and protocols for managing polytraumatized patients, with a particular focus on the role of nurses in emergency situations 🚑. Through a clear theoretical and practical approach, the key interventions in managing these patients in both pre-hospital and hospital settings were presented, including initial condition assessment, stabilization of vital functions 💓, and interdisciplinary collaboration in emergencies.

The lecture sparked great interest among participants, who actively engaged by asking questions and sharing their own practical experiences 🤝. The importance of continuous education for nurses was emphasized, particularly in demanding fields such as emergency medical care 💡. The Dean of the Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences, Tatjana Badrov, delivered a lecture titled “Ensuring Quality in Education: Pressure or Orderliness?” 🤔📚 at the County Professional Council of Principals of Secondary Schools and Student Dormitories of the Bjelovar-Bilogora, Koprivnica-Križevci, and Virovitica-Podravina Counties. Despite her humorous approach, she clarified the serious organization, processes, procedures, and levels of external and internal evaluation of the quality assurance system at the University. ✅📋
