📅 ENNE coordinator Zrinka Puharić attended the annual meeting from November 11 to 14, 2024, at PXL University Hasselt in Belgium 🇧🇪, where she presented our new Professional Graduate Nursing Study Program 👩‍⚕️, the *Paviljon* journal 📖, arranged incoming student mobilities from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Belgium, and participated in discussions regarding the organization of BIP 2025 🗓️, which will take place in Berlin 🇩🇪. Participants also visited the university’s new simulation center 🏥, practical training facilities, and the Institute of Emergency Medicine 🚑. #vub #enne #nursing

Participation in the panel discussion *Energy ⚡ and Digital 💻 Transition in the Context of Education 📚*

Our Vice Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs 🎓 Zoran Vrhovski participated today in the panel discussion titled *”Energy ⚡ and Digital 💻 Transition in the Context of Education 📚”* as part of the 26th Craft and Business Fair of the Koprivnica-Križevci County. The panel also featured representatives from our partner high schools: from the *Obrtnička škola Koprivnica* 🛠️, Director Zlatko Martić and Teacher Saša Seretin, and from the *Strukovna škola Đurđevac* 🏫, Director Darko Špoljar and Teacher Branko Pleadin.

🎓 The Student Buddy Program at BUAS🌍

Our student Darija Pelengić 👩‍🎓, as part of the Student Buddy program, took our Erasmus students Nejra Rizvanović and Tarik Mešić (students from the CEPS – Center for Business Studies Kiseljak) to a play 🎭 at the Bjelovar Cultural Center. The Student Buddy program at VUB aims to help Erasmus+ students integrate into student life at the university 🤝. Additionally, the goal of this program is to involve Erasmus+ students in social activities 👫 in our community and make their stay at our university as enjoyable as possible 🌟.

☕ THE FIRST COFFEE WITH THE DEAN THIS ACADEMIC YEAR ☕

The Student Council and the administration of the University held a meeting today titled *”Coffee with the Dean”*. 🎓 The goal of the meeting was to discuss, in an informal atmosphere 🗣️, topics that concern students, hear their ideas 💡, and suggestions for improvement. Along with the Dean, the coffee was also shared by the Vice Deans and all the heads of the departments and study programs. ☕📚 With plenty of jokes 😄 and laughter 😂, as well as constructive suggestions and ideas 📝, students got to know a more fun and humorous side of the university administration. The coffee was enjoyed, and whether it was bitter or sweet, let the participants decide. 😉

Education “AI Get Educated”

Our university 🎓 hosted the “AI Get Educated” training 🤖 organized by the CroAI association. The lecture was delivered by the amazing Ive Botunac to 185 participants (85 in person 👥 and 100 online 💻), providing insights into the practical applications of artificial intelligence 🧠 in education 📚. We look forward to our next collaboration with CroAI, which will take place at the B:IT.con conference! 🚀

The first hackathon B:IT.hack has concluded.

The first B:IT.hack hackathon took place over the past three days in the city of Bjelovar. 💻🌟 Numerous teams had the opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity in creating digital solutions. 🎨🔧 Congratulations to the best teams at the B:IT.hack hackathon:

At the B:IT.hack hackathon, teams had the opportunity to win the following valuable prizes:

⭐️1st place – 5.000,00 EUR

The mentors from VUB at the hackathon were the Head of the Computer Science program Tomislav Adamović, Vice Dean for Development Krunoslav Husak, and Dean Tatjana Badrov. A member of the jury from VUB was the Vice Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs, Zoran Vrhovski.

Incoming Erasmus mobility from Turkey

Today, 😊 as part of the project “Work inequalities in later life redefined by digitalization,” our university was visited by 👩‍🏫 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Feyza Dalaylı from Canakkale University in Turkey 🇹🇷 – Department of Communication Skills 🗣️. She presented her work to our staff 👩‍💼👨‍💼 on the topic “Digital Work Inequality and Digital Divide Due to Aging in Academic Working Life: City Example” 💻📚. A cooperation agreement ✍️ was also signed between the institutions, opening the possibility for future Erasmus+ collaboration 🌍🤝.
