👩🎓 Dean Zrinka Puharić and nursing student Karlo Tirić are actively participating in the 🌍 Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program SUMMER SCHOOL 2024: Global Health: Perspectives for human rights-based healthcare (August 19-30, 2024) in Berlin 🏛️, organized by our partner institution Evangelische Hochschule Berlin. The program covers interesting topics in healthcare 🩺 and nursing 💉, presented by professors and students from 🇳🇱 the Netherlands, 🇹🇼 Taiwan, 🇬🇭 Ghana, 🇫🇷 France, 🇧🇪 Belgium, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇦🇹 Austria, 🇩🇰 Denmark, 🇹🇷 Turkey, 🇱🇻 Latvia, and 🇪🇪 Estonia.
Our English language teacher Ivana Jurković is participating this week in the international exchange of foreign language teachers at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland. During her stay, she held guest lectures and workshops for computing and architecture students, participated in international co-teaching observation, presented our university at an international fair for foreign students, took part in discussions aimed at exchanging best practices, and joined the traditional student parade and cultural activities. Collaboration was agreed with the Director of the Department of Foreign Languages at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv University, Ukraine, in the areas of joint research and virtual exchange of computing students. The international week involved teachers from the USA, Colombia, Finland, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
On May 17, 2024, the 5th International Student Conference titled “Green Sustainable Future” was held at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences. The conference took place in a hybrid format, both in-person and online, with a total of 30 papers presented by students from 12 higher education institutions across 6 countries.
The following higher education institutions from Croatia participated: Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences, Business College Zagreb, University of Applied Sciences in Karlovac, Baltazar Zaprešić University of Applied Sciences, and Ivanić-Grad University of Applied Sciences. Representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina included: CEPS Kiseljak College, LOGOS Center Mostar College, and the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Sarajevo. Students from the University of Mother Teresa Skopje represented Macedonia, while Study World Global College Malta represented Malta. Greece was represented by students from the University of Ioannina, and Slovakia was represented by students from the University of Economics and Management, Bratislava.
The student conference was organized by Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences and the “CEPS – Center for Business Studies” Kiseljak, with partners including the Business University of Zagreb and the “LOGOS CENTAR” Mostar. All presented papers will be published in a proceedings book.
Our students Tia Zobunđija, Laura Prelec, Luka Dragić, and Noa Vujčić 🎓😊 successfully represented our university, the city of Bjelovar, and Croatia (along with our products) at the ENNE Intensive Programme IP2024 in Plymouth. 🌟🌍 They had the opportunity to meet nursing representatives from 18 different countries. 👩⚕️🌐 An exciting and productive week lies ahead for our students. 💼💡
Notably, Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences is the only higher education institution in Croatia that is a member of the ENNE organization, and our students are the sole nursing student representatives from Croatia at the IP2024 event in Plymouth. 🎓🌍

The traditionally strong collaboration between Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences and Bjelovar Kindergarten continued with a visit to the kindergarten by students Clare and Aurelie from France, who are currently on a student exchange at our university. 🌍👩🎓 Clare and Aurelie delighted the little ones who are diligently learning French and helped them master the correct pronunciation of words from French songs. 📚🎵 Then, the children tested how well the girls know the Croatian language and taught them new words. 🇭🇷📝 Watch the video on our FB page: https://fb.watch/qSq8ZQyRpm/
🌍✈️ We are happy and proud to collaborate once again with the University Irfss Croix Rouge Francaise Site de Lyon and host, through the Erasmus+ program, students Aurelia Piot and Clara Lopez, who will spend 4 months in Bjelovar on a combination of classes and internships. We warmly welcome the dear students! 🎉📚
As part of the Erasmus+ staff exchange program 🌐, Prof. Piet Vandebriel, a child psychiatrist and professor at PXL University, held two lectures in the course Health Psychology: “Attachment Theory” and “Wilderness & Adventure Therapy” 🏞️. He invited students to participate in the student exchange program and visit Belgium, at PXL University, within the Erasmus+ mobility framework, where they can attend various courses and participate in practical training for a minimum duration of 3 months, or join the Wilderness & Adventure Therapy program for students in September, lasting 7 days 🚀🤝. Prof. Piet Vandebriel was hosted by our nursing faculty members Goranka Rafaj and Marija Kudumija Slijepčević, as well as Erasmus coordinator Marina Rupić.
