On March 12, 2025 📅, at Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences 🎓, as part of the course *Adult Health Care II* 🏥, guest lecturer and our alumni student Josip Kirdžija, **BSc in Nursing** 👨⚕️, delivered a lecture on the topic *”Laparoscopic Hemicolectomy – Experiences from Sweden”* 🇸🇪.
Josip introduced students to modern approaches to minimally invasive procedures 🔬 in the surgical treatment of colorectal diseases, with a focus on laparoscopic hemicolectomy 🏨. During his presentation, he shared his experiences from a Swedish hospital 🏩 where he is employed, working in the colorectal surgery department 🩺.
The lecture concluded with a discussion 💬, where students asked questions ❓ about the practical application of Swedish guidelines 📑 in Croatian healthcare settings, as well as opportunities for further education 🎓 and specialization in the field of laparoscopic surgery.
